This week’s geek craft is an amazing recycled Darth Vader Mask by Gabrieljunkart.

This thing is just awesome. Gabe has some other stuff in the etsy shop too, but this is probably my favorite.

This week I bring you an instructable for making Lightsaber Knitting Needles by Random_Canadian.

I know at least one knitter who would want a pair of these.  I guess I’ll just have to add them to my ever growing list of projects.

This week’s craft is based on the Dalek pot I posted a while back, but this time with RD-D2, by minipoppy.

I’m a big fan of geeky pots, as it seems a really underrepresented craft project; in that I’ve only seen 2, ever.

This week I’ve got a fresh Boba Fett Stained Glass Lamp by mclanesmemories for you guys to oggle.

mclanes does some extremely awesome work with stained glass that isn’t limited to just disembodied Boba Fett heads. There is a handfull of stained-glass geekery in mclanes gallery that I highly recommend you all taking a look at. I especially like the Boba Fett window.

I found an awesome idea for the geeky warm beverage enthusiast: Geeky Mug Cozies, by Cuddlefish Crafts.  (Note: only some of her cozies are geeky).

When wrapped around coffee you are, look this good you will not.

Don’t use the red one. You’ll lose your coffee.

While Cuddlefish has not provided a pattern for sale here, an enterprising (ba-dum) person can probably figure out how to make one of these.  Or, you can do a Google search for “Crochet coffee cozy” and find a list of tutorials on how to make these (including a YouTube video or three).   From there it’s just making little embellishments to geek them out.

This week I’m brining you a DIY Lightsaber Lamp tutorial written by Brian over at Geekcrafts.

This is a neat little Star Wars inspired project that is both affordable, and produces a product akin to some commercially available lamps. Just the thing for the DIY Star Wars enthusiast.

I may have to make one of these for a friend of mine.

Need to get your house into the Wintery feeling with some snow-themed decorations?  Are you a big geek too?  Well then, how about some Star Wars Snowflakes?

When a snowflake you are, look this good you will not.

These are a really neat, and really simple project that, unlike the skull truffles I posted last week, are within the skill and monetary range of just about everyone. Each of the patterns has a PDF template which you can use to cut-out the snowflake, so all you really need is a printer (or a Kinkos close by), a pair of scissors, and optionally, an x-acto knife.

I’ll probably be making a few of these to decorate the house and tease the cat with.

Since I’ve been playing Star Wars Galaxies EMU all week, I figured I’d post a Star Warsy craft.  I think these Crocheted Tie Fighters by Denise of Yummy Pancake certainly qualify.

Pew Pew!

Granny Squares!?!

As you can see, the tie fighter is basically two reinforced, hexagonal granny square attached together with a cockpit done in the round.  While there is no pattern, I think it would be fairly easy to figure out how to accomplish this.  I may add it to my to-do list, as these are pretty awesome.

This week I’ve found an awesome pattern for a little plush Jawa by Bitter Betty.

The link to the tutorial is near the bottom of the blog post.  I have to admit, even though I’m not much of a Star Wars fan, I really want to make one of these!  It’s adorable… in a manly way.

Now, I have no aspirations of being Leia and actually wearing one of these, but this Leia Headband tutorial by NicNacNoodle is pretty spiffy.

I can’t say as I’d ever wear them*, but I think they’re pretty neat.  The headband also looks rather easy to make, which is always a plus.

*Probably never.
