Our ice maker started producing funny tasting ice over the past week so I, being a cheapskate and a bit of a Mr. Fixit, decided to try my luck at it.
Things do not go smooth.
I eventually, through much trial and error, narrowed the taste down to the ice maker itself. So, I attempted to clean it out with some vinegar in case it was caused by lime deposits. Now the blasted thing won’t work.
Le sigh. I now get the joy of disassembling the stupid thing to find out if too much water was put into it and caused everything to freeze up, or if the motor is just shot. Either way, fun times ahead.
