This week’s geek craft is a Boba Fett conversion of an old stand mixer by Tommyfilth.
I’m not gonna lie, I want to do this to my stand mixer. Unfortunately my lack of artistic ability rather prevents it. C’est la vie.

That is so geeky! and awesome. But I have to ask…what exactly is a stand mixer? At first I thought this was a food mixer…and maybe you guys use a different term for it? (I’m from the UK, btw)
Yes, food mixer would be the UK name for it. We call them “stand mixers” to differentiate them from hand beaters which are often called “mixers” in the US.
This particular one is an old Kitchen Aid Food/Stand mixer. Probably late 1970s to early 1980s by the look of it; probably a K-45 if I had to make a guess.

We call them food mixers/blenders and the hand held ones are simply hand blenders/hand held blenders.
If I had a mixer like this one I would want to cook every day!
